New Drywall and Plaster Replacement
Board over lath or full strip-outs in post-war houses, plus new walls for additions and finished basements.
New drywall, plaster-to-drywall conversions, repairs, ceilings and commercial partitions across Etobicoke, taped and sanded to a paint-ready finish.

Most drywall calls we get from Etobicoke are about plaster. The 1940s and 50s houses in Mimico, Alderwood, New Toronto and Long Branch, and the 1950s and 60s bungalows and split-levels in Markland Wood, Eringate, Centennial Park and Richview, were plastered over lath. When it cracks, sags or has been patched too many times, we either overlay it with new board or strip it back to the studs, which also lets us add insulation and open up wiring access before the new walls go up.
Basement finishing is the other steady job, especially in Rexdale, Thistletown and Richview where basements are being turned into secondary suites. That means fire-rated separations, proper ceilings and a Toronto Building permit, which we arrange. In Humber Bay Shores towers we repair and refinish unit walls and ceilings under elevator bookings and building hours, and we match the smooth finish the units were built with.
Commercial drywall is a large part of what we do in Etobicoke: partitions and bulkheads for Bloor West and Kingsway storefronts, Lake Shore Boulevard retail fit-outs, office floors near Islington and Kipling and industrial-office units in Rexdale. We work evenings and weekends where a business needs to stay open, and we coordinate directly with our own painting crew so there is no gap between sanding and the first coat.

Cracks, holes and old patches in Markland Wood and Eringate homes, blended to match the surrounding wall.
Stipple and popcorn removal, sagging plaster ceilings replaced and smooth ceilings in Humber Bay condos refinished.
Cut-out and replacement after roof, plumbing or basement leaks, common in older south Etobicoke houses.

We settle whether to overlay or strip the plaster, and what Toronto requires, before the first sheet is ordered.

Phone, WhatsApp or the form. Say whether the walls are plaster, how old the house is and whether a suite or a business is involved.

We come from Erin Mills, sound the plaster, check for moisture and confirm permit needs and crew parking.

One price for demolition where needed, board, taping, sanding and disposal, with cure time between coats built into the schedule.

Walls and ceilings finished to a paint-ready standard, dust contained, and the result checked with you under raking light.

Overlaying is faster and cheaper where the plaster is sound. Stripping to the studs makes sense when it is sagging, when you want insulation, or when wiring needs updating. We advise at the site visit.
Secondary suites need fire-rated separations between the suite and the rest of the house, and a permit from Toronto Building. We build to that standard and arrange the permit.
Yes. We book the elevator, keep to building hours, contain the dust and match the smooth finish the building was built with.
Usually. Commercial partitions and bulkheads are scheduled outside working hours and sequenced with our painters so the space is ready for Monday.
Houses near the lake and along Mimico Creek often have damp basements. We remove the affected board, look for the moisture source and rebuild with that in mind.
