New Drywall Installation
Boarding and finishing basements, additions and partition walls, including fire-rated assemblies for additional residential units.
New drywall, repairs, ceiling work and water-damage replacement for Burlington houses, downtown condos and commercial units, finished smooth and ready for paint.

What is behind the paint in a Burlington house depends on the decade. The 1960s and 70s bungalows and side-splits in Palmer, Mountainside and Dynes are a mix of plaster and early drywall, and tying new board into old plaster without a visible step takes shimming and a wider feather than a standard patch. In Headon Forest, Tyandaga and Brant Hills the most common call is stipple ceiling removal, followed by cracks at the wall-to-ceiling joint on the upper floor where trusses lift and settle each winter.
Basements are the largest share of our new installation work. In Orchard and Alton Village north of Dundas, and in Millcroft, we board, tape and finish basements that are being turned into living space or an additional residential unit, where the fire-separation rules dictate the board type and the detailing at the ceiling. Clay soil across most of the city holds water, so we also replace drywall damaged by seepage along basement walls and after window-well overflows.
We take on commercial drywall too: partition walls and ceilings for office units on Harvester Road, tenant fit-outs in retail near Fairview and Mapleview, and storefront interiors on Brant Street and Plains Road, with the 24-hour cure per coat built into a schedule that works around your opening hours.

Yes, it is one of our most common jobs in Headon Forest, Tyandaga and Brant Hills. We scrape or skim depending on the ceiling, then finish it smooth and prime it.
An additional residential unit needs fire separation between units, which affects the board type and how the ceiling and party walls are detailed. We build to those rules and coordinate the inspection through the City of Burlington Building Department.
